I think Korea is a very good case to show how -philic behaviour towards nonwhite groups is often also paired with or later transforms into phobic discourse and behaviour.
And i dont think this person is particularly Korean-phobic or anything, but more how we speak about Korean culture as tho we are authorities, as if it is monolithic and as if whatever we criticise them for is unique to them.
There was a shortage of ozempic. What does that say?
I just wonder why they don’t outsource it to Africans as much bc when it comes to accents Africans deffo speak clearer English and are more understandable
As students worldwide celebrate their graduations, my cousin's son Qasem Nassar is still being held in Israeli torture dungeons. He was kidnapped at the beginning of the year while he was in grade 12. Qasem recently became 18 and was moved to an adult prison...
Extremely shameful that Kohen Wiley’s murder has not gained more attention. This baby was killed by the police, and nothing has been done, and it’s being swept under the rug.
I’ve noticed that many people thought these photos were taken in gaza because they’ve been shared alongside posts about palestine, But these photos are actually from South Lebanon. I’m Lebanese, and my home was affected by the war here +
they're abducting children amongst the chaos after the earthquakes. several pedophiles have been caught by civilians in the middle of assaulting kids. people who pretend to be part of the rescue efforts are only doing it in order to do the most evil thing one can think of.
When I was growing up you were largely seen as a rude freak for running up and filming a stranger - now I see videos of people asking not to be filmed and the comments are like “WHATEVER KAREN YOURE IN PUBLIC” and I guess I’d just like to congratulate the mass surveillance psyop
It’s only now climate change has reached Europe that everybody is panicking. The Caribbean was getting its ass beat for years now with supercharged hurricanes
Dave Chappelle says no one needs to think anymore because of AI: “Thinking is for poor people”
“I was talking to a friend of mine and we were laughing about how no one really would know what to teach a kid now. What skill sets are going to matter 10 or 20 years from now as the world becomes automated”
“We decided your character is your destiny. If you’re a good person that’s all you can ask from anybody and hope for the best”
“I don’t know if anyone needs to think anymore. It’s AI, quantum computing, it seems like thinking is for poor people”
In 2021, Sri Lankan national Wishma Sandamali went to the Japanese police after her boyfriend hit her. Instead of helping, they threw her into a cell and tortured her to death. 16 other foreign nationals died in similar ways. But yeah, cute ducks. Good job 👍
Theres something particularly sinister about when someone shares this kind of experience when blurring the celebs identity, no doubt to actually protect themselves from toxic fandoms, and then everyone takes it upon themselves to reveal it anyways
A Black fan has gone viral after sharing what they described as a heartbreaking experience with Choi Woo-shik. 😮
According to the fan, they attended the event specifically to see the actor and even brought posters and other items to show their support. However, they claim Choi Woo-shik signed autographs for everyone around them except them.
The fan said they were left wondering why they were the only person skipped, saying they couldn’t help but question whether it was due to classism, racism, or something else. The emotional video has since sparked heated debate online. 👀
Does anyone else remember that time Israeli "rescue teams" straight up stole historical artifacts from Turkiye and only gave them back when the backlash got too hot?
African Europeans by Olivette Otele (shes a historian) is a good book that as the name suggests talks about black/African descent people in Europe through several centuries.
This is awesome, and also im really interested in that this appears to be a depiction of a Black woman as a beautiful European aristocrat? I wonder what the context of this painting is
