7.5% of the World Uranium is Extracted from Niger. With a population of 17 Million,they remain one of the poorest nations in the world. 60% of its citizens live below the dollar.
Life expectancy is only 45 and one in four children die before the age of 5.
There is no surprise that the army has decided that enough is enough of their puppet regime of the government,that Ironically is run through the monopoly of France whose soul interest it to mine the Uranium in the Subsaharan Desert.

Over 50 % of uranium extracted from Niger is used to light France whereas 10 to 20 % of the people in the urban areas have access to electricity.
The citizens have every right to demand a full share of their minerals. It is sad that with all the proceeds, only 5 % is injected into the economy of Niger that has a population of 17 Million
What is happening in the west Africa is not by accident,it is 40 years of oppression and exploitation by France that is finally going full blown.
France wants to use ECOWAS and sanctions to arm twist the army into giving in but they won't succeed. This time they will fail,it is the people against them.
