First off, we have to stop overreacting. I would never intentionally take away from the biggest moment/night of Arvell’s life. Very excited to see him play on the team and happy that we have another dawg on the squad!! #gobigblue
You have to read this. Firsthand affidavit from one of the women who was there and recording the video. She talks about how Alex Pretti was directing traffic when she arrived. She watched him be killed in front of her. She's afraid to go home, worried she'll be arrested.
In my engineering job we had paid interns, but it was drilled into us that they weren't to do day-to-day tasks but instead special research projects. It was more work to get assigned an intern.
To have an unpaid intern do day-to-day tasks and "help us" is illegal in NYC...
If the giants were a good team then we would see @BobbySkinner_ getting national recognition. The man is a mensch for what he does week in and week out covering this team trying to give fans something tangible to root for.
"If your grandfather had spent $500 to purchase the Giants in 1925, you, too, could make decisions that prioritized keeping family members and allies in cushy roles as the franchise bottoms out during one of the worst stretches in its 101-year history."
Schoen said a lesson he's learned through this process as a GM is that when you sign and draft players "you want them to be versatile schematically because as we see today, and previously, coaches come and go."
Schoen said he's been guilty of drafting a scheme-specific player before "and then coaches come and go and then maybe those decisions don't work out."
Sounds great. Only problem is that's a lesson he said often early in his tenure that he learned from Bill Parcells long before he became a GM.
He mentioned it in his introductory press conference and again before drafting CB Deonte Banks in the first round, who was a fit for former DC Wink Martindale's system:
Giants retaining Joe Schoen is an absolute joke. A low moment for the Franchise. Certainly hurts efforts in searching for a Coach. The concept of a Coach / GM joined at the hip that made so much sense when hiring Daboll-Schoen no longer important?
