@elonmusk Most countries should ban dual citizenship. It is already the case that US tax laws only favour the poorest in having two passports. So not much is lost there.
@MarcherReborn It is one of: 1)A Leninist strategy to accelerate the decay and precipitate the revolution, 2) Well-meaning idiots doing 'good', but not seeing the wood or the consequences, 3) punishment for... well, everything, 4) they're evil. Dunno which.
@AkkadSecretary There used to be a reliable lowland, Calvinist block vote that consistently voted Unionist Party up around 1955, and was staunchly anti-catholic and Irish. Its strange death is one of the great psephological mysteries.
@PolitlcsUK There isn't some political genius out there we just haven't found yet who's going to fix things. No one can save the status quo. The next will fail too, because we're in a constitutional crisis. The state needs to be radically restructured.
Constitutional expert here. Please stop treating the high turnover in PMs as a joke. It is a sign of distress and that the country needs an intervention.
@Matedwards7 IIRC Foyles ran their rare book dept. from there. I used to get their catalogues. I wish I could have visited back in the day. https://t.co/0VZRsw3Q67
@peterrhague Yes, I do. The Dutch practice is prison first, then treatment. We keep asking medical, care and social staff to serve as custodians and it keeps failing.
@aswren But wouldn't you accept that Islamist supremacism and global jihad were the context in which these crimes took place? In part, they were morally and ideologically excused by, and facilitated by, that background? And that cannot be disentangled from the specifics of the crimes?
