Mirza and his family were racially profiled, targeted and stalked by the Labour Party for years, as well as thousands of other members. Despite the media blackout on his story, he won as an independent against Labour.

Congratulations @mmehmood73, you have proven there is another way and grassroots activism, word of mouth and having strong community ties works and can defeat those who want to maintain the status quo by any means necessary. Newham is safer with one less Labour councillor who is willing to compromise members of public in favour for dangerous Party politics.

When I was leading the investigation into the allegations in the dodgy Newham dossier, I stated to management that I felt it was unlawful and potentially criminal and instructed my team to investigate the whole of Newham, as there were also a number of outstanding complaints against those who supported the allegations in the Newham dossier including Labour councillors. That was when I was pushed off the case because I “wasn’t doing my job,” which meant my job was not to be an Investigator but to follow orders.

I was suspended from employment soon after.

When the Party’s bureaucratic machine is rigged in favour of a very specific and narrow intolerant political faction, who cling onto power by any means necessary, no change can come from within. It can only be created from the outside.
