Today, High Commissioner Amb. Moses Rugema attended the graduation of National Defence College (NDC) Course 34 in Abuja. Among the graduands was Col. Tanzi Mutabaruka of the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF). Two senior RDF officers also serve on the NDC Directing Staff, under the existing defence cooperation between Nigeria and Rwanda.
A delegation from Mozambique’s Ministry of National Defence, led by Major General Samuel Luluva, Director General of Social Services, met today with Rwanda’s Minister of Defence, Hon. Juvenal Marizamunda, at the Defence Headquarters in Kimihurura, Kigali.
The meeting underscored the commitment of both nations to deepen existing defence cooperation, with a particular focus on social welfare systems for military personnel.
Maj Gen Luluva and his team wrapped up a week-long working visit centred on the exchange of expertise in military welfare management. The Inspector General of Police, CG Felix Namuhoranye, together with the Ambassador of Rwanda to the Republic of Korea, Nkubito Manzi Bakuramutsa, met with the Korean National Police University President, Superintendent General KIM Ki-jong, at the university campus in Asan City. They discussed on enhancing cooperation in Police education and explored more areas of collaboration in capacity building programs.
IGP Namuhoranye and his delegation also attended a graduation ceremony at the university where RNP and RIB officers, IP Thomas Akimana, IP Yvette Tumukunde Mutabazi, and Mr Evariste Nkubito, were among the graduands with Master’s degrees in areas related to Policing and Law Enforcement. Two other RNP officers are currently pursuing PhD programs at the Korean National Police University.

Rwanda National Police Inspector General, CG Felix Namuhoranye, held bilateral meeting with Sudan Police Force Director General, Lt Gen Amir Abdel Moneim Fadl, on the sidelines of the ISCA High-Level International Security on Africa Conference at the Kigali Convention Centre.
The talks focused on strengthening police cooperation, with emphasis on capacity building and joint efforts to combat cross-border crime.
EASF Director Brig. Gen. Ronald Rwivanga commended Uganda’s forces following the recent verification exercise, praising their training, professionalism and morale.
He said Uganda’s forces demonstrated that they are “ready to go” and proposed that Uganda host future integrated, multidimensional and multinational EASF exercises.
