Education is important, so let me explain some of the psychology of violence against women.

Male violence against women is rarely an isolated act - most men do not wake up & think “I’m going to kill or hit a woman today”. It’s the end point of learned behaviours, normalised attitudes, and environments where casual contempt for women & degrading or violent rhetoric about women is treated as comedy instead of condemned (like in this podcast)

These attitudes don’t exist separately from the epidemic. They contribute to it.
