The Norfolk Fitness & Wellness Center is progressing! Since the last update, we can now see the outdoor sitting and play areas, surrounded by open field. Tennis and pickleball courts will be installed just east of the play areas.
Looking north you can see the gymnasium and natatorium coming together, complete with lazy river and the pool — before the roof is installed.
Towards the south, we can view the roof of the brand new library and the parking beyond it.
Which of these are you most excited about?

Today, our Norfolk team proudly took part in the 2026 Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit Special Olympics Virginia!
We received the “Flame of Hope” from our partners in Virginia Beach and carried it 4.2 miles through the streets of Norfolk. The group included members of the Norfolk Police Department, Norfolk Sheriff’s Office, Old Dominion University Police Department, Norfolk State University Police Department, and Norfolk Probation & Parole personnel.
The Law Enforcement Torch Run is an annual tradition where law enforcement professionals across the country unite to raise awareness and support for Special Olympics, an organization that provides year-round sports training, competitions, and inclusive programs for athletes with intellectual disabilities. Their mission is simple and powerful: create opportunities for achievement, confidence, and belonging through the joy of sport.
We’re honored to continue this tradition and stand alongside the incredible athletes who inspire us every day.
