People wanted Homelander to scorch the Earth,
Don't want to die, and
Win in the end
That’s exactly what’s wrong with people as a society, Makers don't want to leave that image, don't want bad people to win
Homelander did horrible things. He ruined lives, killed innocent people, and treated himself like a god. A character like that doesn’t deserve a glorious ending.
And that’s why his death worked.
He didn’t die with aura or pride. He died like a human being scared, desperate, begging for survival in front of Butcher and live television.
The man who saw himself as a god was reduced to fear and helplessness.
That’s the most satisfying ending a villain like Homelander could get. Evil shouldn’t be rewarded just because it looks cool.
You know what’s crazy? People are ignoring the ending.
Hughie and Annie, considered heroes and are free to live their lives, and they even have a baby on the way.
Kimiko, who was tortured for years in a cage and then treated like a criminal, is now finally enjoying herself freely in France.
Marvin got his family back without anyone chasing him, plus Ryan is now with him.
the grandson of the man who destroyed MM’s childhood and shaped his entire trauma
Then there’s Butcher who lost himself long before he died, that Dog was the only thing that brought out his humanity since S3
Vought no longer holds the same level of power over the world
Calling all of this “trash” just because Homelander didn’t level cities or massacre thousands of people is crazy
I can’t believe people watching #TheBoys didn’t realise they would have Soldier Boy give Homelander the V1. They’re not exploring that father son relationship for an entire season for nothing. And he didn’t just give the V1, because of Stormfront. He softened on Homelander because the guy didn’t kill him when he had the chance. And his ego took a boost when told that Homelander looks up to him. Their relation over the season had to reach a situation like it did now…Where Soldier Boy would have a change of heart for HL. This raises stakes for the next two episodes. It would be very anticlimactic and predictable if Homelander died because of a virus
everyone's dislike of this episode just shows the deteriorating nature of television
this was a great filler episode in a space that no longer does filler episodes. if this was 10 years ago, people would have been raving about the character insights and moments we got out of it

Hey everyone, I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for eleven years! I apologize for not having something special planned this time, but there are a lot of great things happening, not the least of which is putting the finishing touches on the movie which I can't wait for you all to see!
You know, ever since I received that first piece of fan-mail back in 2014 addressed "to Foxy," I knew there was something special here, and I've tried my best to make sure every year brought something new and exciting for the fanbase. So even though there isn't a big anniversary event of some kind, just know that everyone involved in FNAF right now—myself, Steel Wool, Blumhouse, Scholastic, Universal, and others—are working hard to bring everyone another great year of Five Nights at Freddy's! :)
This isn’t just the 11th Anniversary of FNAF, it's also the 11th Anniversary of this incredible fanbase! I appreciate you!
