‼️Holy crap -- look how badly the Canadian Dream got DESTROYED for single people and/or stay at home parents

Canada went from ONE person being able to afford a home with 4.3x their annual income in 1970

to that same median earner needing 17.4X their annual income to buy a home in Canada.

(I decided to look at Home Prices vs. INDIVIDUAL income to see how different generations could afford to have one parent stay home)

Stay at home parents = GONE.

Single = You're screwed.

You REALLY need 2 incomes to even survive in this country now.

If criticizing Islam over the UK’s rape gang crisis is racist, would criticizing Catholicism over residential school abuse also be considered racist? I’m just trying to figure out how this works.

Ian Lee on CBC. While everyone’s distracted with “Trump”, AI is already cutting Canada’s public-sector back office.Second straight month of surprise job losses: 68,000 in September after ~42k in August. Concentrated in education (−35k) and health care/social assistance (−23k). Youth hit hardest. Economists keep missing it

Ian Lee:“We’re so focused on the huge problem with the United States, the trade war… and the serial announcements by Trump of more tariffs, but they haven’t arrived yet. But there’s another story going on… the ongoing rollout of AI.”
Bank of Canada (August) analysis: roughly one-third of jobs face substantial AI-driven change — especially routine support, clerical, and counter work. Least exposed: actual nurses, teachers, doctors

“AI is going to hit the so-called back office. The people that aren’t doctors, aren’t nurses, aren’t professors, aren’t in the classroom… the support staff. Those jobs are much more vulnerable to being reduced and automated. And I think we’re seeing that in the data.”

Tariff damage is still lagging. Education is also absorbing fewer international students. This isn’t mass layoffs of frontline professionals — it’s the support layer thinning now, with more trade-war pain still ahead

Alberta is the clear exception. While Quebec, Ontario, and B.C. shed tens of thousands of jobs (mostly public-sector education and health support roles), Alberta added 23,000 in September, powered by energy and commodities. The province is still growing and hiring where the rest of the country is contracting

You know who NEVER did ANY of this?

The Trucker's Convoy in Canada.

Canada invoked a national emergency for that non-violent protest, and tactical teams arrested protesters at gun point.

NEVER let Canada lecture your country about protests again.

After today’s house of commons session there’s no recovery from this one

He’s been fully exposed

Even liberal supporters are outrage with this level of corruption

Due to high demand we have identified the woman in the video as Rachel Tetrault, the Senior Team Lead of @pointblankCA, a digital media agency in Vancouver.

That's right, someone who has no affiliation to education is using her propaganda skills to impact BC schools.

If Mike Myers is afforded an opinion on Canadian politics and governance, then Elon Musk is entitled to the same.

They are both Canadian citizens living in the U.S.

“Canadians should be worried because when people are less economically free, their standards of living tend to suffer,” said Matthew Mitchell, senior fellow at the Fraser Institute and coauthor of the report

The report states that size of government, regulation, and freedom to trade internationally drove the drop (largest in freedom to trade); the legal-system score was virtually unchanged and the sound-money score improved as inflation eased

It also notes that Canada’s relatively high tax burden and government spending have left it weak on size of government for several decades (101st of 165 in the latest report).

From the Executive Summary and Chapter 1:

“Canada has now slipped from 9th to 18th, just ahead of Germany at 19th. The United Kingdom is 10th, Japan is 13th, France is 39th, Italy is 47th, South Korea is 53rd, Indonesia is 72nd, Mexico is 77th, Brazil is 85th, India is 88th, China is 110th, and Russia is 143rd.” @Matt_d_Mitchell

💥New Bill C-29: Gives the Finance Minister the power to command a new financial agency—while the Attorney General controls investigations based on belief.

In 2022, Freeland seized protesters' accounts with emergency orders—this new legislation removes the emergency and makes those seizure powers permanent.
