@PJtrades_NQ Has anyone actually tried to figure out what’s behind those emotions?
It’s hard to change something in yourself if you don’t understand where it is coming from

[NorthStar Journal @NorthStarJournl]

@TheH0n3stTrader 50% luck feels way too high to me. Luck can decide the outcome of one trade, but over time your edge, execution, risk management and mindset matter a lot more

[NorthStar Journal @NorthStarJournl]

@Chongsan0221 @TheH0n3stTrader I don’t think sacrificing everything is the goal. Trading should eventually fit into your life, not become your entire life...

[NorthStar Journal @NorthStarJournl]

@traderjamesfx I don’t think there’s much of a secret code. The hard part is usually doing the boring things consistently for long enough

[NorthStar Journal @NorthStarJournl]

@PJtrades_NQ People compare themselves to the result they can see without knowing the losses, mistakes and years behind it...

[NorthStar Journal @NorthStarJournl]

@traderjamesfx Yeah we want other people’s results without seeing the years, mistakes and ugly parts of the process that got them there -and that process is usually a lot less glamorous than the outcome

[NorthStar Journal @NorthStarJournl]

@PJtrades_NQ At least trading gives you something back
The chance to understand yourself better and become a better version of yourself 😂

[NorthStar Journal @NorthStarJournl]

@CRTwithSaint Same price action, different speed... If 1m works for you, trade 1m. If the speed messes with your decision-making, don’t... I don’t get why people make the timeframe itself the problem 😂

[NorthStar Journal @NorthStarJournl]

@IZU_VIKTOR Another chance to become better 🤝

[NorthStar Journal @NorthStarJournl]

@IZU_VIKTOR Good morning

[NorthStar Journal @NorthStarJournl]

@TheH0n3stTrader Trading really keeps finding new ways to humble you at every stage 😂

[NorthStar Journal @NorthStarJournl]

@PJtrades_NQ To not size up after a loss is good advice, but I think the more useful question is why the urge to make it back immediately becomes so strong in the first place.
It usually has a reason behind it to reflect on... there's more than just bad discipline

[NorthStar Journal @NorthStarJournl]

@astucefx One of those weeks where closing the charts is the best setup 😂

[NorthStar Journal @NorthStarJournl]

@fredtrades Because the brain wants relief faster than the process wants patience
In short - the caveman brain 😂 We just want to feel safe. Loosing feels like danger

[NorthStar Journal @NorthStarJournl]

@fredtrades Missing the trade isn’t usually the dangerous part. It’s the 'why' and what you do with the frustration afterwards 😂 And I agree that logging the missed setup is such a simple way to mentally close that loop of chasing

[NorthStar Journal @NorthStarJournl]

@nahvTrades The hard part is that abandoning the process rarely feels like abandoning it in the moment. It usually feels justified like this setup is different, I need to make it back, I can’t miss this one.. Noticing that shift early is a skill in itself

[NorthStar Journal @NorthStarJournl]

@TheH0n3stTrader Indication Correction Continuation

[NorthStar Journal @NorthStarJournl]

@fredtrades If you keep blowing accounts, the problem may not be a lack of knowledge anymore. Look at what happens right before you stop following your own process, the plan you know you should follow

[NorthStar Journal @NorthStarJournl]

@thisswealth @Techriztm @theplaymakerxx I agree with Ravideep - try focusing on one pair. The outcome doesn’t tell you if the trade was right or wrong. You can execute perfectly and still lose. I'd suggest this - review each trade and ask: normal loss, or did execution, mindset affect it? Read "best loser wins"
