Firefighters responded to a house fire off Golden Mirror Drive in Marana just before 6:30 tonight. The fire was in the attic and was controlled by the sprinkler system at the residence. There are no injuries. The cause of the fire will be under investigation.
This Flag Day, we’re taking a moment to recognize what the American flag represents.
Flying the American flag from a fire apparatus is a visible display of pride and honor for our country and our District.
In the fire service, the American flag is present in some of our most meaningful moments. It flies above our stations, marks loss, and stands with us as we honor those who have served their communities with dedication and purpose. It represents our profession’s foundational duty to protect the communities we serve.
This flag was flown from our ladder truck during the memorial service for Mayor Honea, recognizing a life spent serving this community. We continue to remember the lasting impact Mayor Honea had. We're reminded that strong communities are built by people who choose to give their time, leadership, and care to others.
We're proud to serve one of those communities!

A reflection from the field, in more ways than one...
On every scene, safety starts with being seen. High-visibility gear helps crews stay protected while working in and around traffic and active environments.
If you come across an emergency scene, slow down, move over, and give responders the space they need to do their job safely.

Firefighters responded to a car fire at the Circle K at Cortaro Farms and Cerius Stravenue just after 2:30 this afternoon. There were no injuries and they were able to get the fire controlled quickly. Access to the store was restricted. #nwfdaz
In honor of our upcoming blood drive next week, here’s a fun #FlashbackFriday!

Their work makes blood drives possible. Donations are what make them matter.

We had some special visitors at Station 331 this past weekend!
These adorable pups from Guide Dogs for the Blind were on the job, getting real-world exposure to the sights, sounds, and smells of the fire service. From firefighters in full gear, to engines and equipment, this visit will help prepare them for the important work ahead.
Thanks for spending part of your training with us, @GDB_official

Thanks to the support of our community, a new Engine 334 is now in service! 🚒
Yesterday, we welcomed our newest engine with a traditional push-in ceremony, a long-standing fire service tradition that connects today’s crews with those who came before them.
As crews guide the engine into the bay, it is more than a symbolic act. It reflects the teamwork and responsibility carried on every shift, every call, and every interaction with the community we serve.
Engine 334 represents more than new equipment. It stands for readiness, teamwork, and a continued commitment to serve with professionalism and care.
To our community, thank you. Your trust and support make moments like this possible and allow us to continue serving at the highest level.
We are proud to place this engine in service. Proud of the people who will serve from it. Proud to serve this community!

It’s Monsoon Awareness Week! 🌧️
Here in Southern Arizona, monsoon storms can build quickly, bringing heavy rain, strong winds, and dangerous flooding.
Never drive through flooded roads or washes. It only takes a small amount of moving water to carry away a person or an entire vehicle.
Keep children away from washes, drainage areas, and standing water.
Avoid flooded areas.
Turn around. Don’t drown.

Today, we honored Shop Supervisor Kevin Land as he retires after more than 21 years of service to Northwest Fire District.
For more than two decades, Kevin has been a critical part of the team behind the scenes, helping ensure our apparatus were ready when it mattered most. His work has supported every response, every call, and every moment our crews were needed.
From Mechanic Specialist to Master Emergency Vehicle Technician to Shop Supervisor, Kevin built a career defined by consistency, dedication, and pride in the job. He played a key role in maintaining the fleet and supporting the people who depend on it every day.
Today, that service was recognized with a procession of emergency vehicles and a flag ceremony, a meaningful tribute to his career and contributions.
Kevin, thank you for your dedication to this District, the Fleet Team, and our community. We wish you the very best in retirement!
