I don’t even have V14 Lite yet, but I just reset DAS and recalibrated the cameras on my 2018 Model X and wow…!

It honestly feels like a completely different system. FSD is noticeably smoother, the visualizations seem more stable and accurate, and the car just feels more confident overall.

My Model X has 100k miles (I bought it around 87k), and I’m willing to bet it had never been recalibrated. Since owning it, it’s had wheel alignments, control arms, bushings, suspension work, and other front-end repairs.

Thinking about it now, every one of those repairs can slightly change the vehicle’s geometry. It makes sense that the cameras would benefit from a fresh calibration afterward.

If that’s the improvement I’m seeing on my current software, I can only imagine how important a camera recalibration is before or after installing V14 Lite or any major FSD update.

I’m genuinely impressed. If you haven’t recalibrated your cameras in a long time, especially after suspension, steering, alignment, or windshield work, you definitely should!

This has been my experience too. I work in insurance and send documents all day by email and text. Lately, every time I go into the Files app to attach a document, it lags, freezes, or won’t work until I force close it many times. My phone also constantly says it’s “too hot to charge,” and I’ve only had it for about a year. I upgrade every year, so it’s hard to understand why the newest iPhone is already struggling like this. Something definitely feels off.
