@BoomaDingo Also completely valid to find enjoyment in a bad game, whether that be because it's laughably bad, what it was going for was interesting, because it genuinely had a few parts that were good amidst the bad, or nostalgia, there's heaps of reasons to like a bad game.

One of the worst things about gaming as a whole is how people immediately disregard any game with an average score below 7 and call it bad. Games are either really good or trash, there's no in-between with so many people and it sucks.

@BoomaDingo Not all "mid" games are boring and not all boring games are mid in my eyes. for example Mario 3D Land is at it's core a good game, though its pretty boring, and Mortal Kombat 1 is a pretty average fighting game, but I wouldn't call it boring.

@BoomaDingo it also implies there's nothing making it utterly suck. Just because one game has done certain things better doesn't invalidate another. Case in point The Legend of Spyro games are considered "mid" but the atmosphere, story, characters and artstyle make it stand out tons.

@BoomaDingo Disagree on that one personally, there's heaps of games that average 5/6 I've gotten tons of enjoyment from. I don't see a 5/6 average as "the game is mid" I see it as "the game is rough but has some redeeming qualities in there".

Link to the Past was pretty good, I loved its equipment variety, It's difficulty was pretty spot on, and the dungeons were decent (especially after Zelda 1). Though the backtracking was a bit much and the game is constantly being a vaguepost king. 7.5-8/10

Honestly aged well compared to most NES games but man is it rough in areas.
