@astrocomps Animation is just a medium, not a genre. Those movies are really good Spider-Man stories that do thing live-action movies would be hard to get away with. It’s a different list than my own, but this is a pretty solid ranking

@Geo_AW The first Spider-Verse movie was a bit of a flop. Didn’t really find it’s audience until it was on streaming. Still made money but for a family animated movie coming out at Christmas time, it’s box office was real light

@siinwop Probably didn’t want to have to worry about continuity since he was in the suit constantly through almost all the movie. It’s a lame reason as I love seeing his suit ripped to shreds, but I’m sure that’s a big reason just production wise

@blurayangel My only complaint is that I wish he could direct sequels for each movie every year. I’m sure they’ll prioritize him to another Spider-Man which I’m happy about, but I really want another Shang-Chi too but directors really need that 2-3 year per-movie timing to make these any good

@DiscussingFilm @joshuahorowitz Save Miles for a bit. With the renewed excitement and this movie doing NUMBERS, there’s no need to rush. Save for when Peter’s had a few more under his belt or if they really run out of ideas. A Peter/Miles movie could be great, but I still want the solo ones til they’re needed

@Squinterdlze @Chuksdakingz I think when they had to renew his contract, he realized how much power he had at the studio and could actually push for things and they have to listen. Really seems like he was more of a collaborator with Cretton here and used his star power to have a seat in development. 👑

@willemhouse It’s a good top 4 for the year so far. Basic, sure, but they’re all good and probably more likely to get an enthusiastic love for then than the few “better” dramas that have come out wide release so far. I’d throw in The Invite and The Bone Temple, but oscar-baits aren’t here yet
