He did this to California in his first term, as well, when we had huge fires in 2020. Trump absolutely denied and delayed funds for the Palisades Fire. I know. I live here. Biden approved a Presidential Major Disaster Declaration on January 8th. Trump then ALTERED it long before the fire was contained. He wrote an EO to TAKE OVER the rebuilding process to speed up permits...but the fucker withheld supplemental funding of $34 to $40 BILLION, ensuring survivors couldn't afford to rebuild regardless of permit speed.

Spencer Pratt does NOT live in a trailer on his property in LA County. He bought the trailer and put it on his property to claim he lives in Los Angeles SO HE CAN RUN FOR MAYOR OF LA. You can not legally run for mayor if you do not live here. Spencer and his family live rent-free in Santa Barbara, which is *very much* outside of LA County. I am in LA County. Born and raised here. It takes AT LEAST 3 hours to get to Santa Barbara. I say closer to 4 because I have to account for 405 traffic. When I was a student at USC, it took me over an hour to get there even though it was only 20 miles away. The Trump administration withheld nearly $34 billion in requested federal disaster relief, and that lack of funding is a far greater obstacle than local permitting speed. Also thanks to Trump, there's no one to rebuild the homes. Hundreds have begun to rebuild but construction costs skyrocketed under Trump due to tarrifs and workers are all gone due to ICE deportations. The Palisades Fire was a catastrophe made 100x worse by the Trump administration to elevate a moron like Pratt to seize LA. And LA's bank account.
