Children and adults will return to school with stories… stories of struggle, suffering, joy, hope, and resilience.
How will we make space to listen—to really hear? When will we slow down and hold space for the most important data in the building? #StreetData#storientation
Not all your students come to class wanting to learn… but they all come wanting to belong. And when they feel like they belong… they’re much more likely to learn.
As educators we must convey to our children and young people that what is happening in our U.S. Capitol today is neither a demonstration of leadership, nor freedom of expression. Real leaders do not bully, intimidate or incite violence against those who disagree with them. 1/4
I think teacher evaluations right now should focus on the following questions:
How are you doing?
Are you taking care of yourself?
How is your family?
How can I best support you right now?
#ThoughtForTheDay The words that we say can never be taken back. So choose wisely, especially during times of disagreement or conflict. Remember, it’s better to be kind that it is to be right. #Culturize
In these difficult times admin can show empathy to teachers by asking these questions:
1. Are you ok?
2. Is there anything I can do for
you or that you need?
3. Is your current workload
manageable?
You can’t show enough grace and compassion right now. #edchat
This is the school year where educators celebrate the strengths, talents, and contributions of other educators! No jealousy, no downplaying efforts, no useless negativity, just celebration.
I give you my word: if you entrust me with the presidency, I will draw on the best of us instead of the worst. I will be an ally of the light instead of the darkness, and we will once again be united in our love for America and for each other.

Brayden — When I was growing up, my mom always told me that bravery resides in every heart and that someday it will be summoned. Well, you summoned yours last night and showed the whole world that your stutter doesn't define you. I couldn't be prouder.
#ThoughtForTheDay Even the biggest smiles sometimes hide the biggest pain. More than ever school staff need to watch over their students...and each other. #Culturize
We were in crisis teaching in the spring. We now have time to prepare with intentionality. Although this is hard on everyone, it will be a greatly improved experience of teaching and learning.
