One of Dell’s most iconic hidden lores is a character that basically became the face of the company: The Dell Dude.

In the early 2000s, Dell introduced Steven, played by Ben Curtis, who became famous for the legendary line “Dude, you’re getting a Dell!”

The campaign became so successful that Dell said consumer sales increased 100% after the Steven campaign began, and Steven developed a genuine cult following around the brand.

So Dell basically had its own cult-like mascot decades before internet mascots became a thing.

Pairing $DUDE, The Dell Dude with $DELL just feels right.
