You won't find a single instance of such atrocities and mayhem in the whole of Islamic history because its forbidden. At least we have rules of war, Crusaders killed everything that breathed.

No wonder you hate Islam if you think this is the message, but you're hating a strawman. This isn't Islam, these verses have been edited, the meaning changed and they are completely decontextualized. You should read the Qur'an for yourself. I'm sure you'll quickly realize those who fed you this image are heavily biased and they try to push an anti-islam rhetoric and sadly you fell for it.

In contrast, Al-Andalus (Spain) under Muslim rule during the golden age of Islam was the center of learning across the continent and it was one of the most diverse societies of the medieval world. Nice try though.

The stories we hear are truly unfortunate and represent a failure of the justice system in these countries to uphold Islamic law as it was intended, as well as turning a blind eye to acts of vigilantism going unpunished. It harms the image of Islam the most and I condemn it.

As for the 'no true scotsman' fallacy, you misunderstood the situation. There is no arbitrary redefinition or moving of goalposts. Islam is not arbitrarily defined; it is based on the Qur'an and Sunnah which provide clear, objective standards. When a Muslim acts against those teachings, their actions do not represent Islam. This isn’t changing the goalposts, it's applying Islam consistently. To put it another way, Islam sets a high standard and while many humans claim affiliation with this standard, their actions often fall short. I hope that makes sense.

Any book can be distorted and its text misinterpreted. It reveals more about the interpreter's ignorance or biases, their disregard for the proper context or sometimes even deliberate manipulation than what the author intended.

There's a way to interpret the Qur'an. Failing to follow the proper methodology will lead to deviant groups like ISIS. We have mechanisms in place to prevent that from happening but there's no way to prevent people from going astray by doing their own thing.

1) Islamic teachings have anything to do with these crimes, therefore these are not 'islamic crimes'
2) Muslims don't condone grooming gangs

As a Muslim, do you not see a problem with his denunciation of 'Islamic crimes' when there is nothing islamic about them? You've made the same mistake he's made with his poor choice of words.

These crimes are severely punished in Islam yet he made a false equivocation tying these heinous crimes to the religion as if it had anything to do with it when in reality it unequivocally forbids them. You might want to re-evaluate your stance on supporting Tate on this one.
