It could just be something meaningless than an epic employee did and accidentally kept in the game files, or scrapped altered weapon icons for Fortnite OG. This is incredibly unlikely, but you never know.

A sprite sheet with modified weapon icons of many core Fortnite OG weapons has been spotted in the files.

Fortnite does not use sprite sheets for weapon icons, so I have no clue what this is for. But I will state some possible theories in this thread.🧵

3. Testing

They could possibly be testing adjusted versions of the OG weapons for other game modes, or Creative/UEFN. I seriously doubt this one, to be honest.

There also exists a related string, reading: "Use your sight and charge your opponent with this automatic shotgun, dealing devastatingly high damage at a longer range, especially on headshots.

And no, it does not fire in slugs.

It also has a magazine size of 4, a reload time of 4.95/4.65/4.35/4.05/3.75, and a headshot damage multiplier of 1.85x. This makes it deal 127/135/142/149/157 headshot damage. It has similar recoil to the Chapter 3 Heavy Shotgun, although it has *slightly* more vertical recoil.

There exists an alternate Mythic variant in the stat tables that has the normal 1.85x headshot damage multiplier, making it deal 164 headshot damage, even further backing up this theory.

I forgot to add that it also uses the Modular Tactical Assault Rifle's pullout animation.

It also still has the exact same sight as before, but with the orange tint on it from it's original Chapter 4 Season 1 appearance. However, the orange tint is noticeably less strong.

It also has a Mythic variant with identical stats to the Legendary one, but with 35% less vertical recoil, and 5% less horizontal recoil.

"A Burst Assault Rifle enhanced to be more accurate by reducing recoil."

I am unsure why it reads Burst Assault Rifle, as it is not a burst.

It is likely a modern replacement for the Heavy Shotgun. It has the exact same hipfire accuracy as the OG Heavy Shotgun, but ADS accuracy that is slightly better than the Sharp Tooth Shotgun's. It deals 69/73/77/81/85 damage with a fire rate of 1.4.
