Day 1. Noukratos is officially live. ⚡
I'm starting from the ground up — embedded systems, electronics, mechatronics, software & energy research.
I'll be sharing everything. The wins, the failures, the lessons.
The journey starts now. Follow along.

Beauty is one very important aspect of engineering and that beauty is very very far from this thing I built 🥲🥲...
This is why 3d printing and PCB design is very important....
The mindset of many Nigerian youths is very concerning to me
I know we've all been brainwashed to think that if you have a first class, you have an advantage
I get that, but things are actually getting out of hand
Especially in engineering
I don't understand how you can boldly say you're a first class student, and you have ZERO KNOWLEDGE on how to apply what you've learned in class
Yes, Nigeria's education system is not the best
But that's when going out of your comfort zone comes to play
You can't expect to be world-class, and then rely solely on the curriculum being used in school
It doesn't work that way
GO BEYOND THAT!
I'll be honest with you
When I was in school, a first class was never my goal
From secondary school, I got used to being second or third best
That was the norm for me
So, coming into uni, my goal was simple
Do my best, and make the most of my undergraduate years
I didn't get it right at first
I was everywhere
I got carried away
My grades slipped
And I was dropped from MBBS (Medicine & Surgery)
(I didn't want to be there in the first place, but still)
300 level was when I sat up
400 level was when I started taking my career seriously
In a year, I built a track record and portfolio for myself, and people started to trust me with hardware and administrative duties
I became an executive of 2 student associations
I ran a full-time perfume business
And I graduated with a strong Second Class Upper
Now, I look at people who are younger and prioritizing just their grades
Then they get to their final year, where they expect you to build something that could be from Silicon Valley, and they pay people to build it for them
The same people who are boasting about having a first class 🤦🏽♀️
Yet they can't build jack
Honestly, it's crazy
And it just shows that the education system rewards retention and remembering, rather than intelligence
Anyway...
I'll just say if you're reading this or you've been following my content for a while and you do this, PLEASE CHANGE
I can't say I've impacted you and you can't (at least) maximize your internship period
Even if your school doesn't do practical well, find a place you can intern at that does
This is one of the things we're trying to address at Your Favourite Engineer (@yfe_llc)
My pride will be in knowing that someone somewhere had a shift in mindset
And because of what I post, they're taking their academics AND their career seriously as an undergraduate
There's no either/or about it for me
You can thrive in both
One doesn't have to suffer because of the other
If I can do it, so can you
So yeah
I'll leave you with this
I'm always rooting for you 🩵
You've got this 👑
@princess_yfe It's not easy oo
I have been battling electronics and chip design since morning.
To move further we need to learn how to design and build our own chips
