The massacres on the Syrian coast were not just a tragic moment in history; violations against families continue to this day.
Entire #Alawite communities were targeted, and thousands of innocent lives were lost.
Justice has yet to be served.

“Not gonna lie, I was happy on 9/11.”
That chilling confession came from Abu Mohammad al-Jolani in his interview with Martin Smith.
Fast forward almost twenty-four years, and that same man, with the same sinister satisfaction etched on his face, now sits at the helm of a country. Worse still he is empowered by none other than the United States, the very nation that once bled from the attack his mentor inspired and sponsored.
This is not just irony; it is a global security hazard. Jolani presides over a land historically defined by its rich diversity of faiths, ethnicities, and social fabrics. Instead of protecting that mosaic, he weaponizes it holding hostage some 200,000 jihadists imported from 80 countries, refusing to release them, refusing to let them return. They remain his leverage, his army, his threat across continents.
And now, the absurdity reaches a breaking point: whispers of his representation on international platforms, even within bodies meant to safeguard peace, like the UN Security Council.
We must draw a line. No one is safe so long as this cross-border, cross-continental ideology is legitimized. The Security Council must not be tainted by the presence of a man who once gloried in 9/11. He is not a partner for peace he is the living embodiment of global insecurity.
It is not just a Syrian fight, nor an American wound. It is a universal call: ban him, reject him, bar him from any seat of legitimacy. Because to allow otherwise is to invite catastrophe.
This is #Rawan’s house in #Salhab_Houra_Amourin, where she was brutally raped. This case must not vanish as ‘unknown.’ It should be a trend. Every morning we must remember Rawan, what she’s enduring now, and why no one is held accountable. #WeAreAllRawan
Rawan Mahfoud is one of many abducted and abused women—Alawite, Druze, Yazidi, Christian. A captive woman is slaughtered daily her dignity and her community’s dignity with her. Their rescue is a duty, not statistics.

Kidnapping of Mr. Abdul Razzaq Hababa
Mr. Abdul Razzaq Hababa, 65, was abducted in Zaidal village, east of Homs. The kidnappers forced him from his car into their pickup truck and drove toward Deir Baalbah. Mr. Hababa, a Syrian #Christian from Zaidal, holds U.S. citizenship.
Don’t let Rawan’s case fade into silence. Read her story every morning, keep her fight alive in the courts every day. When an orphan girl is raped, society falls quiet as if memory itself has been erased.

A heavy security presence has spread across cities and towns on the Syrian coast. Local sources reported the establishment of mobile checkpoints, particularly in villages near Jableh. Armed groups allegedly raided several areas, demanding either cash or gold jewelry from residents.
Witnesses say lists of around 100 names per village are being circulated. Families are pressured to pay an amount equivalent to the cost of a rifle for each name or face the risk of their relatives being arrested.
Under the title “Whoever kills the people does not represent them,” the Political Council of Central & Western Syria urges Syrians to join the petition rejecting al-Jolani representing Syria at the UN on Sept 24.
