@ShinyScouter Very good analysis. I recently commented about the trap of nostalgia and lack of innovation, but 100% agree also on the lack of soul, technical mediocrity and corporate metrics. Indeed, indies have space now, the Dune II of this century will come :)

The old ones, Dune, WC, C&C, were revolutionary. Our memories of them are colored by awe. The last real genre innovation was 20 years ago with CoH. We keep returning to fond memories out of stagnation. I don’t think nostalgia-driven projects are all we should be aiming for. #RTS
