I am not going away @vladtenev@DanGallagher
AMC Entertainment does not consent to Robinhood creating Stock Tokens to replicate AMC shares in the United States (the SEC requires you to get our consent, or failing that, at least with us to stand down). They are fake, synthetic shares, which could impact our capital structure.
AMC should control our financial destiny, not Robinhood.
Hello again @vladtenev and @DanGallagher. So whatâs Robinhoodâs answer?
You claim to âsupportâ the SECâs new rules on Stock Tokenization efforts, as they apply in the United States.
Internationally, are you going to respect those same principals as laid out be the SEC?
Or shame, shame, shame, will your off-shore operation in far-off Jersey be a sleazy bastardization that makes a total mockery of what the SEC has demanded as being the right thing to do?
August 2026 had the highest industry-wide domestic box office grosses for any month of August since record keeping started 50 years ago. See for yourself: https://t.co/F2DMd8G681
Experts moronically predicting movie theatres were dead?
What a total crock of - - - - !
CEASE AND DECIST in all caps was my attempt at humor. It was a cross between Desist (which means to stop) and De-cyst (which would mean to remove a cyst, something that causes pain and discomfort).
What you know about U.S. securities laws apparently is that you are happy to ignore them if you simply disclose that you are ignoring them.
If your offshore Stock Tokens can not be offered or sold to U.S. persons, why are you touting them on your U.S. web site?
If it is not illegal, it should be. And in any case, it displays a terrible lapse of judgement on your part. Wisdom is displayed not just by obeying the strict letter of the law, but by doing what is right.
Shame on you.
Seriously? Whatâs the concern you ask, @vladtenev? The list of concerns is almost existential.
U.S. securities laws are in place to protect investors. For good reason, we spend millions and millions of dollars every year to comply with U.S. securities laws. In good. conscience, how can Robinhood as a U.S. company set up an operation in far offshore Jersey, an island 3000 miles away, and market a security sort of posing as AMC in some shape or fashion, and not comply with U.S. securities laws. That is shocking and shameful.
Our past issuance of equity to strengthen our balance sheet was vital to our success. Your setting up some kind of fictitious synthetic equity market decouples stock token ownership from a companyâs ability to control its own capital raising efforts.
Share ownership gives shareholders various rights, including the right to vote their shares. Your stock token pretend to be some form of stock ownership, but disclosures to the contrary notwithstanding, they are not ownership and they deprive investors of their rights.
This quasi-fake market you are creating on the island of Jersey sows distrust amongst the public about financial markets in general. There already is distrust in financial institutions, you are potentially making it far worse.
These are but a few of my concerns about your actions.
I hereby call on you and Robinhood to voluntarily CEASE AND DECIST the trading of AMC stock tokens. If you donât, our high priced securities counsel has been asked to see whether we can force you to stop.
I also wonder how can the SEC possibly support your sham ignoring of U.S. securities laws. You can be sure we will be asking them.
In addition to my own comments back to @vladtenev about about my strongly-held concerns about Robinhoodâs Stock Tokens, read what someone named Brad (who I donât know) insightfully had to say on this topic:
I have enormous confidence in AMC and the 2026/2027 box office. So today, using my own money, I bought 250,000 more AMC shares personally, at market price.
I now own outright 2,437,020 AMC shares, raising the total where I have an economic interest to 12,322,429 AMC shares*
It actually can be very hard for a CEO of a public company to buy shares. You have to clear having possession of any material non public information, sort out implications of any ongoing debt and equity transactions, and not be in a quiet period before when earnings will be announced. I was finally in a position to buy even more AMC shares today, and I did.
As I said, I have great confidence in AMCâs future. So, again today, I put my money where my mouth is.
This brings my holdings up to 12.3 million shares* of AMC common stock. My understanding is that I have been, and now even more so I remain, AMCâs biggest individual retail investor.
I should probably mention that I have not sold even a single share of AMC stock since January of 2022, more than four years ago.
I RIDE WITH YOU !!!

(*For precision: this includes AMC shares I already own, and those which previously have been granted to me as part of my annual compensation and which will vest based on length of service and at target levels of performance over the next thirty three months, on a pre-tax basis.)
Today, AMC Entertainment announced our best first quarter results since 2019. In just 3 months, our Adjusted EBITDA was up a breathtaking $96 million year over year.
And we reaffirmed how optimistic we are about a growing industry-wide box office for the remainder of 2026.
Moonwalking our way to success.
With the global debut of MICHAEL, along with strong holdover titles, more than 4.0 million moviegoers attended AMC locations in the U.S., and Odeon Cinemas internationally from Wednesday, April 22, through Sunday, April 26.
Thatâs a thriller!
A very exciting weekend at AMC Theatres, with the highly acclaimed biopic, MICHAEL. The singing and dancing of Jaafar Jackson, the global superstarâs nephew, is remarkable. Itâs as if Michael Jackson is back: on our giant screens with their soaring sound. https://t.co/ZRGTUQs7yV
On Friday, we consummated a highly beneficial $425 million refinancing.
AMC has once again taken decisive action to strengthen our financial position by extending our debt maturities by four full years, while simultaneously reducing our annual cash interest expense.
I would like to thank all of our lenders who continue their staunch support of AMC, and in this case particularly the professional team at Deutsche Bank who were central to this effort. https://t.co/XtLtSDVHkA
The Mandalorian and Grogu are ONLY IN THEATRES starting May 22.
But today they were in Los Angeles, as was I.
Tickets are on sale now for AMC and the latest Star Wars influenced movie from Disney and Lucas Films. It is spectacular. Really phenomenal!
Wow !!! Big !!!
Super Mario, Project Hail Mary and so many more movies led AMC Entertainment to recording our highest ever revenues globally for a 5-day Easter weekend (Wednesday to Sunday) in our companyâs 106-year history.
More than 6 million moviegoers were in our theatres.
These are just some of the blockbusters coming out in 2026.
I havenât been more optimistic about a growing industry-wide box office in years.
Itâs my firm belief and expectation based on what I know now that 2026 will represent the biggest box office performance since 2019.
Isnât it so incredibly ironic.
On the same weekend that Super Mario is delighting millions of moviegoers, NASA launched Artemis II with a go to its translunar burn.
Which means, for the first time since 1972, mankind is headingâŠ
⊠TO THE MOON.

Just by tomorrow night, Friday of opening weekend, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie already will have posted the highest grossing opening weekend of 2026 â with Saturday and Sunday still to come after that.
The full weekend Super Mario numbers are going to be huge.
âLetâs-a-go!â
Project Hail Mary is the highest grossing movie of 2026 so far, a record it likely will hold for only 12 days.
BecauseâŠ
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie opens today, and in my view it is sure to post sky high attendance and revenue numbers.
Only in Theatres.
