The blacktip reef shark 🦈
This shark is native to American Samoa along with e few of its species. It has black markings on the tips of its fins. If you are lucky, you can sometimes spot the blacktip reef shark roaming by the shallow waters near the reefs hunting food.
Technology plays an important role in the life of a diver! Manua District Ranger Fuiava uses a variety of technology to retrieve underwater instrumentation that helps Park managers and researchers assess coral reef health.

The mango tree fruits and ripens seasonally. It is a locally favorite and you will see a lot of kids somewhere along the road climbing the tree to pick its delicious fruit.
The Chief Attire
There are many types of Chiefs in the Samoan traditional system. The traditional wear for a Samoan chief such as the head piece, necklace, whip and staff are materials gathered from the tropical rainforest and seashore.
Sperm whale
The skeletal remains of a sperm whale that washed up in Ofu, Manu’a in 2015 is now in the National Park of Samoa’s Visitors Center for the public to see.
