@npclumpire@ChorleyCC@NetherfieldCC Just thought I’d put it out there, other leagues seem to have more coverage then the @npremierleague though so thought I’d go for it. Lot of changes for you though Umps, new rules everywhere
@lewis_rich97 @ChorleyCC@BlackpoolCC Nothing wrong with signing a newbie or two (although Dhar is a Chorley boy?!), might propel them to a title like your signings did last year.
There we go! Would love to see @ChorleyCC or @BlackpoolCC win it with the home grown talent they have, looking forward to the season, roll on April #gowell
1st - @NetherfieldCC ... Strong unit, the pro will lead the way with the bat, Huck needs to have another good season as the batting is inconsistent otherwise. Great in the field and have wicket takers as shown last season. They know how to win. Theirs to lose.
2nd - @ChorleyCC ... good off season with Dhar and McDonagh coming in as well as others, can McDonagh do it away from village cricket?Moulton’s will be important with bat and ball. Great mix of youth and experience, should run Netherfield close! Look forward to seeing them play.
3rd - @BlackpoolCC great signing of Grindley to strengthen their bowling. 70 odd wickets to add to that team is something else. If Danson leads his young guns well it wouldn’t surprise me if they won it! experience may cost them, very talented but can they do it under pressure?
4th - @LeylandCC ... Makeys men, when will this man retire?! They know how to win but are to inconsistent nowadays after 5 years of dominance. Thompson and Bretherton are the main men with bat and ball, need to sign some players or bring some through to challenge again.
5th - @StAnnesCC ... got some exciting young players, over achieved last year due to better teams being poor, top 6 will be good for them especially with losing Grindley. Wouldn’t surprise me if they finished lower though, a lot on the pros shoulders.
6th - @MorecambeCC pro will be important whoever it is! 1 good signing but if they are to do any better they need more than 1 new man. Lost Eddy Read but time for others to step up, going to be close and wouldn’t surprise me if they are in a battle to stay up again!
7th - @fleetwoodcc ... lucky last year. Very capable if they get on a roll, unfortunately that’s both winning and losing! Could challenge both the top 4 and the bottom 4. More excited about a new coach than a new player? Surely every team has a coach... playing catch up it feels.
8th - @PenrithCricClub ... oversees players and poor form for other teams around them saved them last year. The pro can’t do it every year, luckily for them the teams below them are poor. Should stay up but won’t be easy, been very quiet up there.
9th - Fulwood ... Candidates to go down, if Kerrigan plays they will do alright, don’t see it though. Start of the season important for them. Lots of high scores at a ground where the 30 yard circle is the boundary. Don’t let the pro get in! Be interesting to see how they cope.
10th - @barrowcricket ... another long season for them, young players don’t offer much, only stayed up last year because there pitch was an equaller, will struggle but I hope they stay up, it’s a lovely place to watch in the sun!
11th - @GarstangCC ... rumours there not getting a pro... they will struggle if that’s the case. The leagues a step up especially with the aspect of playing against a pro. Maybe they think it’s going to be easy, won’t take long until they realise the opposite.
