If you are truly wanting to understand what science is saying, you need to ask: “can I truly draw any scientific conclusions from this data? What assumptions am I endorsing? How can I minimize bias from this data? Is more information is needed?”

@GriffinsThink @CollinRugg Agreed. This looks significantly smaller than the footage in Portugal. Furthermore his decent down the wave is much shorter in duration than the Portugal footage. That is probably the best proxy for height given the limitations of video observation.

@cartermurphy218 @tknep3 Rather than a gradient this should be a dichotomous survey. “Boring” and “not boring.”. As such, Most of the Midwes, south, and mid Atlantic would fall into the boring category. The northwest, west coast, Rocky Mountains and north east would fall into “not boring”
