And on the flip side black boys are taught to run through girls. Break them down run game on them to make them fold on boundaries while also being pushed to focus on getting money and bitches. Both girls and boys suffered cause black boys are rarely taught to be good boyfriends, husbands or dads.
Hence why relationships are incompatible more than ever. Society pushes white picket fence, and the fantasy of marriage. Men believe saying “I do�� instantly changes them into a god man and they will magically stop wanting other people and women believe careers and independence will help them be a better partner but it makes them hyper independent and less likely open to the balance of a bond.
Lots of people (not everyone) missed out on the skill sets and moral training to be a good faithful, compromising, communicative partner. Music and movies also influenced these poor habits and beliefs.
They shooting the messenger, but she ain’t wrong. Dating and sex were heavily demonized in a lot of our homes. We were told to stay away from boys and focus on school. The problem is that relationships are a skill set too and many Black women were prepared for careers but left to figure out dating, boundaries, and healthy partnership on our own.
