Gas Leak in the 6800 Block of Smithfield

Smithfield Rd is currently closed between Odell and Cortland due to a gas leak. Our crews are actively monitoring air quality, and Atmos Energy is on scene. There is currently no estimated time for repairs. #nrhfd

Davis Blvd is currently shut down at Main St. following an early morning incident involving a pedestrian and a train. The train crossing arms remain down, and the train is currently blocking the roadway. TEXRail is working to move the train as soon as possible. #nrhfd

We’re expecting the possibility of strong winds, hail up to 1.5 inches, and a potential tornado.

A gas line was hit by construction crews in the 6200 block of Iron Horse Blvd. Atmos is on scene and reports a distribution line was struck that distributes gas to 820 and Rufe Snow. Q222 is on scene monitoring conditions. There are no hazards to residents or businesses.

Update 3:05pm: Leak is stopped. Glenview Dr. is now open.

Glenview Dr. at Scruggs Dr. is currently shut down due to a gas leak in both directions. There is no immediate threat to nearby homes or businesses. Our crews are actively monitoring the situation. Those in the area may notice a gas odor.

Update 2:45pm: Shelter in place has been lifted. Atmos has slowed the gas leak and is still working in the area. Our crews will remain on scene and continue to monitor until the gas leak is completely stopped.

Those in the affected area are asked to stay inside, close windows and doors, not operate machinery, and to turn off air conditioning. Our crews are still actively monitoring the area. If you need immediate assistance, please call 911.

Update 11:38am: There is a shelter in place issued for residents who live in between the area of Glenview Dr, Flory St, Manor Dr, and Morgan Circle. This shelter in place is due to the lack of wind causing the gas to settle over this area.

**TOLL ROAD CLOSURE - EB 820**

Our crews are working a Motor Vehicle Collision at 820 just east of Rufe Snow involving multiple vehicles and a jack-knifed truck and trailer. All traffic EB on the toll road is being diverted to exit Denton Hwy. NTE has been notified.

**TRAFFIC ALERT NB RUFE SNOW AT HARMONSON RD** This collision is a school bus vs. car. Fortunately, there are no reports of injury by the passengers on the bus. We are working with BISD to make notifications to the parents and to arrange pick-up. Bus ID: Birdville ISD B2587

NRHFD and NRHPD were dispatched to a car vs. off-highway motorcycle at the intersection of EB Mid-Cities and Winter Park Dr. around 4:30pm.

2 patients were transported in serious condition to local hospitals. NRHPD has EB Mid-Cities at Davis closed. #nrhfd
