@douga111www Just do what I do: sprinkle about a tablespoon or less of water on the pan, immediately cover, let it cook for 60 seconds.

Done. The bit of white still surrounding the yolk firms up, yolk stays liquid. Whites are perfectly cooked through without getting tough.

@gusokumushi_x So I take it this is not a soft drink you would enjoy.

It's called agua fresca, I think it's Mexican originally although I'm not certain.

But I love it, especially in the summer. It's juiced cucumbers, lime juice, and slightly sweetened and sometimes includes fresh mint.

I use thick slices for that, too. You don't gotta use expensive bread, a plain old 1.50 French bread from Walmart does the trick.

Pre-sliced is too damn thin and fragile, it just falls apart before you can cook it and set the custard.
