Hm, I didn’t think a Korean news outlet could twist and selectively present the details this badly.

1. They only took screenshots of and reposted the malicious comments from vn fans, but anyone who has been following this situation knows that Kor fans were the ones who started the hate train against the two vn players, attacking and insulting vn women, the country, and even history. (And who was the one leading it? I’ll say her name outright: Soopi. Who exactly is she pretending to be innocent for?)

2. Streamer Rambo AND THE ENTIRE VN TEAM asked the tournament organizers MANY TIMES whether stream sniping was allowed - AND THE ORGANIZERS REPEATEDLY ANSWERED THAT IT WAS “ALLOWED.”
==> The rules clearly did not prohibit it, and they asked the organizers directly and got permission, so what exactly are they being accused of? Isn’t this whole situation happening because someone was simply bitter about it?

3. The two players have also withdrawn from the tournament. I want to emphasize that they did so because they didn’t want to make the situation any bigger. Neither of them did anything wrong. At this point, only someone being “childish” would keep dragging this out and attacking them over it.

4. Not to mention that Soopi also lied, saying there was “only one streaming monitor.” That argument was already flawed as a defense against stream sniping, and now the community is getting evidence to prove otherwise. So who exactly is throwing a tantrum, crying and playing the victim here?

Or, more accurately, this was a tournament where teams from other countries were having a great time, while one particular team was “tryharding” but still lost and finished in 6th place. And guess what? They got bitter and ended up targeting two incredibly talented Vietnamese players. (Don’t tell me there wasn’t some bad blood from the past involved here.)

If you agree, you agree; if you disagree, I’m willing to listen. But if all you can do is leave insulting comments under my post, all it proves is that you’re being ridiculous as hell and arguing in bad faith.

힘든 거는 못 풀었고요 아직도 힘듭니다 아직도 힘들고 사실 뭐 계속 힘들 거 같아요 프로게이머을 한다면 사실 안 힘든 게 이상한 거 같고 뭐 딱히 스트레스 푸는 방법은 없는 거 같아요 그래도 음악을 듣거나 술을 먹는 거 정도 두 가지를 제일 외적으로 스트레스 받는 건 일단 좀 제 불면증 심해서 수면제를 두 개 먹��� 자는데 그게 이제 과연 배그를 그만하면 고쳐질까라는 생각을 합니다
저는 저에 대한 막연한 믿음이 제일 컸던 거 같아요 나는 무조건 ���공할 거다 안 될 수가 없다 그렇게 생각을 했고 믿었고 그거를 이뤄내려고 노력도 했고 그래서 그냥 저에 대한 어떻게 보면 사실 말이 안 되죠 그냥 그런 믿음을 가진 게 한 16, 15 이때부터인데 뭐한다고 중2병 걸려가지고 근데 그런 좀 막연한 믿음이 저를 여기까지 오게 했던 거 같아서 그런 믿음을 지금도 계속 가지고 있고 앞으로도 계속 가지고 살려고 하고 있습니다

최근 저희는 베트남에서 개최된 LCK 경기를 직접 관람하였습니다. 그러나 기대와는 달리, 행사 운영 과정과 특히 일부 스태프 인력과 관련하여 여러 가지 문제점들이 발생하였습니다.

So from what I've understood (legal jargon could be mistranslated, I'm too lazy to open the dictionary)
Those who declare themselves as sole proprietor annually pay income tax, calculated from roughly the following formula:
[Total income - business expense]*appropriate tax rate
So more like, taxation on profit

Issue 1 is on this matter: Ruler handed over an undisclosed amount of KRW to his father. His point is that his father acted as a de facto manager for him, and the money was a salary for the service, those should be considered as part of his business expense. The tax agency on the other side, ruled that the father didn't specifically work as a manager, beyond which are obvious everyday supports expected from family, and thus the money cannot be considered an expense and should also be taxed appropriately.

Issue 2 is what the agency's Insta post mentioned, and is more complicated: from the official government papers, his father managed financial assets under his legal ID, supposedly formed from Ruler's incomes. So this is the part where it gets messy: basically, if the legal owner and the actual, real owner of publicly owned assets like real estate or stocks are different, the government, for taxes, assumes that the real owner transferred the asset to the legal owner, and thus taxes the transfer.(...because, that's what legal ownership is for?) The problem is, SK tax laws also dictate that one should be taxed per their actual, real assets/incomes. (e.g. if A was the actual worker who earned income, A must be also the one to pay the taxes even if B declared it as their income.)
So the compromise is:
1. Again, if legal ownership and the actual ownership conflict, it is assumed that a transfer has happened, and a transfer tax will occur.
2. However, if the conflict was caused by a reason other than tax evasion, the transfer tax will NOT occur.
So on this case, while both sides agree that Ruler's father managed financial assets (from Ruler) under his(father) name legally,
Ruler argues: The conflict is real, but the assets were always his own, and the conflict of ownership was caused only to make it easier for his father to manage son's assets on his behalf, and thus it falls under 2. above and should not be taxed.
Meanwhile the government argues: Ruler's father also possessed the actual ownership of the assets, thus the case should be simpler, Ruler's wealth was transferred to his father, so they should pay the transfer tax.

So what now?
Basically, in SK, you can take any of the government(executive) actions towards you to the judiciary without any prior requirements - taxation is one of the few exceptions where you must try the executive appeal first. The 'decision' everyone is talking about rn is the executive appeal. This is a speculation but Ruler probably took the case to the judiciary and it is now sitting in the courts, again with the traditional 3-tier system - so if we speak from a pure legal viewpoint, not considering PR impacts or such, it may take years till a conclusion is established.
