P.S., it’s VERY important that the Animorphs anniversary falls at the start of Pride month, IYKYK.
<You are brave. You are strong. You are good. You matter.>
Happy 30th anniversary to the first book in my beloved Animorphs series. To this day, these idiot teenagers with a death wish are always there for me when it comes to grappling with the world.
K.A., you are one of my heroes. Thanks for teaching me to fly free and so much more.
@DanJGlickman I think the gov’t getting involved would have led to rapid escalation from a covert invasion (which gave the kids a chance) to all-out war, bringing the Andalites (and their dubious decisions) in sooner rather than later. It probably ends badly for the human race either way.
Also so many of the group meetings at the mall/etc don’t happen because there are so many public places pre/teens aren’t allowed anymore without adults. Anyway, the sweet spot on the technology timeline where this series is possible is the ‘90s thanks for coming to my TED talk.
Forget just the enemy tracking them, like Cassie’s dad now has cameras in the barn for overnight checks, you’re not sneaking aliens in. Everyone’s parents expect them accessible by cell phone, so the inexplicably vanishing for hours at a time things doesn’t work either.

The new Animorphs TV adaptation absolutely has to be a ‘90s period piece I will fight someone if I have to. The guerrilla resistance would have lasted like 30 seconds with today’s technology.

There are so many amazing performances out there, but frankly, the entire ensemble cast of The Hunger Games franchise. Such care is put into everyone and it makes the world so rich. Ride or die forever for Isabelle Fuhrman as Clove and Patina Miller as Paylor.
25 yrs ago, the scoobies faced off with THE hellgod, Glory - Willow undid Tara’s brain suck, Xander picked up a spare, Giles killed Ben(who might be related to Glory), B finally realized HOW death was her gift + made the ultimate sacrifice -and s5’s iconic finale “The Gift” aired
