Man dies after reportedly entering a tiger enclosure at a wildlife park in Yorkshire
Wild animals deserve respect and space. Entering their enclosures puts both people and animals at risk. I hope the tiger is not harmed or punished for acting on its natural instincts

The death is essential for the following reasons;
1. It eliminates old and unfit populations create space for the calves coming immediately after migration
2. The decay of carcasses nourishes the rivers and the grasslands around
3. The net calving is stl higher than death.
Impalas are constantly on the move as they feed, & the females often travel in mobile herds in search of food.
Their speed and agility are also important for escaping predators, allowing them to quickly move into thicker vegetation when threatened.

African tourism expanded by 4% against a Global increase of 0.4%. Whilst there is growth it will largely be in hotspots. But it is a ten fold difference.
In Uganda, the President of Uganda is pushing for tourism's contribution to GDP to triple - which is very plausible. It is already one of the biggest forex exchange earners, yet is tiny in comparison to the main players in Africa.
It means there must be greater investment by the Government and partners in many areas needed. That starts with the supporting the Uganda Wildlife Authority in their success in conserving the protected areas and wildlife for future generations. Uganda's proud heritage needs to be protected and kept pristine.
UCF continues to partner with the Uganda Wildlife Authority with very tangible and long term programmes in Kidepo/ Karamoja, Murchison Falls National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Conservation education is most powerful when it reaches young minds early.
At Matanda Primary School in Kihihi, Kanungu District, teams from @ugwildlife and Avian Conservation Uganda engaged pupils in a classroom session on environmental and wildlife conservation, helping them understand the value of the biodiversity within their communities and their role in protecting it.
Our sincere appreciation goes to the UWA and Avian Conservation Uganda teams for investing their knowledge and time in nurturing a generation that understands that protecting nature is a shared responsibility.
