@eleanorcastile It's a lime ash render. Tudor concrete effectively. Was a bi-product of limestone quarrying and lighter, stronger, more hard-wearing than wood planks or stone slabs.

@nttreasurehunt The matting is replaced as and when it needs it and funding can be secured. It can last around 6-8 years if we are lucky.
