Attention Karnataka people 🚨

Listen to coastal Karnataka railway activist Hanumanth Kamath.See how badly the Kerala lobby in the Palakkad Division neglected and treated coastal Karnataka railway stations.

Mangalore stations generated around ₹1,000 crore in revenue for the Palakkad Division about 80% of the division’s total revenue.

From that Mangalore revenue, they developed stations across Kerala in the Palakkad Division and carried out doubling and tripling of railway lines within Kerala.

Meanwhile, Kannadigas had to beg for the installation of lifts at Mangalore stations.
It took them 14 years just to double one kilometre of track in Mangalore.

There were also operational biases: trains on the Karnataka and Mumbai routes were often stopped at Mangalore Junction instead of Mangalore Central, while Kerala-bound trains were allowed to stop at Mangalore Central.

In a nutshell, the Palakkad Division collected money from Mangalore but worked for Malayalis and Kerala.

The sheer audacity of these KL politicians!

Mangaluru is in Karnataka, yet you have historically neglected it while deliberately blocking new trains to the Karnataka hinterland. Due to the KL lobby, there are many trains available from Mangaluru towards Kerala, but a few connecting Mangaluru to the rest of Karnataka.

Finally, the KL lobby and interference in Mangaluru's railway matters have been broken by the recent railway gazette notification.

You guys are dependent on Mangaluru and Karnataka for so many things, yet your greed to get NMP Panambur's revenue hasn't gone. Now that Palakkad division is losing its cash cow, you're crying foul. Why can't Kerala figure out an alternate revenue source? Stop leeching off Mangaluru.

KL politicians should stop poking nose in Karnataka's matter.
