@cmclymer My mother went back to college at 55, when I (her youngest) went off to college. She ended up earning the first US freestanding PhD in Womenâs Studies, and embarking on her THIRD CAREER as a professor. She died last month, having seriously made her mark. https://t.co/KrpnQLCOrI
Andy Byron Didnât Just Cheat On His Wife â He Cheated On His Family, His Company, and Every Employee Who Trusted Him
Letâs call this what it is: disgusting.
Andy Byron, CEO of Astronomer, a company worth millions, just got caught on video having an affair with his Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot. Sheâs married. Heâs married. He and his wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron, have two children together.
And now the whole world has seen him tossing that away like it meant nothing.
This isnât just some office romance gone sideways. This is a full-blown collapse of character from the man whoâs supposed to be leading one of the biggest tech companies in the world. And it wasnât just anyone heâs doing this with the head of Human Resources. The very person whoâs supposed to uphold workplace integrity.
You want to talk about values? About trust? About leadership?
Andy Byron has none of it.
What kind of example is this for his employees? For his children? For the families who work at Astronomer and believed their company stood for something more than backroom hookups and corporate hypocrisy?
This wasnât a mistake. It was a choice. Over and over again.
And while he and Kristin snuck around, Megan Byron was at home the woman who stood by him, raised their kids, believed in him. And now, thanks to his reckless behavior, his family is being humiliated on a global scale.
This is about more than infidelity. Itâs about who these people are at their core.
When the cameras arenât rolling, when no one's looking that's when true character shows. And what weâre seeing from Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot is a complete lack of it. No loyalty. No dignity. No respect for the people theyâve hurt.
To Megan and the kids you didnât deserve this. You built a life with someone who clearly forgot what that even means. While Andy was out destroying his name, you were holding down the home, protecting the family. You deserve support.
And to everyone still clapping for corporate âprogressâ while the people at the top abuse power and toss marriage vows like trash maybe itâs time we remember that character still matters.
Family still matters. And no job title or stock price excuses betrayal. #America

Patti LuPone shows that if youâre a white theatre icon with a gay fanbase, lots of people will excuse your misogyny and racism away as being catty diva like no youâre actually just petty and racist
President Trump has fired the Librarian of Congress, Dr. Carla Hayden.
The position of Librarian of Congress is so apolitical that only 14 people have held the role since 1802.
Hayden, who was the first woman and Black American to serve as Librarian of Congress, has held the position since 2016.
Her predecessor served in the role for 28 years before retiring.
Everyday I think about how Diahann Carroll was disinvited from the cast party (hosted by a wealthy fan) of her LEAD play cause she was âtoo classy.â The host stated she didnât want to âconfuseâ her children by introducing them to âAfrican-American women in fur coats.â
"I became a Trump supporter because I couldn't buy access to the democrats" is definitely something I would expect someone to think in their head rather than say out loud.
I am disabled.
I am not a warrior.
My body is not a battlefield.
How I feel is not a measure of how hard I fight â or donât.ïżŒ
We need to stop romanticizing struggle.
Some of yâall forget the reason we have food safety regulations is because companies used to do things like adding chalk to spoiled milk so it looked normal.
Regulations donât exist because governments enjoy them. They exist because pure unadulterated capitalism would kill us.
@Cornwall3@notcapnamerica Sheâll go to jail for a year, and be on probation when she gets out. If she doesnât follow the terms of probation (no drinking, meetings, etc), sheâll have to serve the second year.
Itâs a way to hold a worse punishment over their head so they have incentive to behave.
