Look at how comfortable sweet Skye is with her mom and brother now!

It is hard to believe this is the same dog who was abandoned on a construction site after being hit by a car. She was physically broken and completely terrified of the world. While her leg gets stronger every day, her emotional healing has been the real journey. It broke our hearts to see how scared she used to be, but watching her slowly learn to trust, step by step, is the most beautiful thing to witness.

Today, she finally has a place she can call home forever. ❤️‍🩹🏡🐾

Boardwalk Empire would be the best show on television if it came out today. I try to consistently post about this series because Boardwalk appears to be falling through the cracks of history, in large part because this came out around the same time as shows like Breaking Bad, Mad Men & True Detective. But this show- and this cast- is as good as television gets. This is worth your time, folks.

Nothing beats the feeling of watching puppy Twix grow up into such a confident, beautifully socialised boy. From surviving on the streets of Thailand to strutting down the streets of Philadelphia, Twixie isn't scared of a single thing! He absolutely loves his life, and we are enjoying every single second of watching him live it to the fullest. Go Twixie!

We wanted so badly to save him. We wanted to give him months and years of running free, knowing happiness, but after six long days of fighting, his body had simply had enough.

As hard as this is, we are taking comfort in knowing how his story ended. He didn't die alone, scared, or forgotten on the streets. In his final days, he was warm, safe, fed, and surrounded by people who loved him endlessly.

Thank you to everyone who cared about Bear. We wish we had more time, but we are so grateful we could give him peace when he needed it most. Run free, big guy. You’ll always be part of our family.
