WHO said Chernobyl killed 16,000, but IAEA counted only 4,000 of them. The TORCH Report, estimating 160,000 deaths, is much more believable. So deaths were 40 times what IAEA claimed.

Everything that WHO publishes about nuclear power and radiation must be agreed to by IAEA, so it's often wrong. So no NRC approval was needed. But that was a liel It was an entirely different, and stupid, design. It didn't work. It was incompetent.
