I've been thinking about taking some creative writing courses or training. I was wondering if anyone had any good free/inexpensive ideas?
I'm not trying to be a literary master or anything like that. Just fixing sentence structure and grammar. And learning how to make some fun short stories that are actually ok.
@BurdockNewt@Marc_Topaz@ashleyschendel I just do it because I saw a person get blocked in for an attempted mugging once. (Cali)
Since then I've always backed in. That way I can see everything easier. And escape if need be.
Maybe that's why it doesn't even bug me even slightly if I have to wait on someone doing it.
@Marc_Topaz@ashleyschendel Wait what's wrong with backing into a parking spot?
I've always done that. It's easier to get out. Especially if you live in a dangerous area.
@SCH_Clay@hunterlanier I honestly don't know tbh. If you're right then I'm completely wrong here.
I still think it should happen though. But explicitly about the 250th.
This Stargate situation is really making it hard not to go full chud.
I've always been the mostly polite and reasonable person. To each their own type.
But they destroyed LOTR, Star Wars and Star Trek. Now they're probably going to destroy my absolute favorite Stargate.
I wish I knew and believed in the witch stuff. So I could curse the executives at @AmazonMGMStudio to constantly have an itch on their back that they never can reach.
Ok so I'm gonna give some clarification on why I'm so in on the Stargate revival rn.
To me, Stargate is my entertainment version of comfort food. I rewatch all three shows and every episode every year. And it's my absolute favorite show.
It all started when I got out of the Army and back from Iraq. Before that I did enjoy it. But I wasn't a major fan. But my Grandma pulled me aside one day. A day I was genuinely struggling mentally. And had me sit down and watch it with her.
After about an hour of enjoying that time with her and cringing every time she mentioned how great Richard Dean Anderson's ass was. I grew to absolutely love the show. She managed to get me out of my funk with humor and togetherness. I'll never forget that toothless grin as she pointed to the screen at Anderson. Purposely making me uncomfortable and laughing.
There's a good chance I wouldn't be around without that. I was genuinely struggling then. And Stargate with my grandma is what helped bring me back from that brink.

@_Abides_ True. I'm not arguing that. But when someone has their head so far up their ass they can't see anything but their colon. They tend to miss the numbers in front of them. But who knows I could be horribly wrong. I genuinely don't know.
