@Its_Bnan It happens over time, but many times it's due to the game being kept out of its case or being kept in a humid place. Average disc life before disc rot can be anywhere from 30-100 years
@ariesloI@nullniloc The old CoDs did have sbmm, but the newer CoDs (BO7 has a mode where it isn't there iirc) have eomm, which is significantly worse than an actual sbmm system
@bumpkinsTV@flashivers The problem with that is that comics have pinned themselves to effectively just comic book shops. So if you don't live near one, your only options are to order online and wait or pay for digital.
Manga doesn't have that problem bc you can just get them in bookstores
@throwawayzone@UkrainianAna@C_Kavanagh It's his full time job and buddy can't even get it right, come on now lol. Guy is almost 40 and gets basic shit wrong
@inkfycreates Last collectors edition I got was Unicorn Overlord. Came with the soundtrack, an art book and a whole separate card game. Definitely gonna miss this type of stuff
@c57447844@RinoTheBouncer They don't make money because they have every game being developed with massive teams, huge budgets and expect all of them to sell at least 8-10 million copies each
@PSJoeBrust@galaxywing_ If it's something so small and insignificant, then why do they feel need to charge an additional $20, an entire quarter of the price for it? Just put it in the game at the base price.
That's the point, it shouldn't be accepted to charge for things that SHOULD be in the base game
@PSJoeBrust@galaxywing_ Just fuck over customers is a great motto
You're acting like I don't know they're doing this to make money.
Again, you keep circling around the point of them taking out content to charge an additional premium for it
@SquirrelReFX@Creetosis22 This picture is from a Canadian Toys R Us magazine. The Canadian dollar was worth about $1.30 USD, so of course the price looks higher.
This also ignores that most people weren't buying tons of new games, but rented them
@PSJoeBrust@galaxywing_ You aren't getting it. I'm saying it's ridiculous that R* is charging even more for things that should just be in the base game. I don't care that it has been done prior, that isn't acceptable.
They are industry leaders and these practices are going to be used by others
@PSJoeBrust@galaxywing_ I'd much rather they charged the $100 upfront and keep the minimal content in the $20 upgrade then do this two version.
I get why Rockstar is pricing at $80, it's an insanely expensive dev cycle that lasted over a decade.
My point is charging $20 for basically nothing is crazy
@PSJoeBrust@galaxywing_ Just because "everyone else does it", isn't a good excuse. I'm sorry, I don't feel that R* is justified in nickel and diming people on a game that is going to be successful.
@PSJoeBrust@galaxywing_ Stop acting like every single person criticizing the pricing are also the same people buying the yearly sports and CoD games.
Charging a $20 premium for a drop in the bucket is stupid. Charging that on top of the fact the game is being sold at higher than standard is retarded
@GameRoll_@SynthPotato Locking content that's already there behind a $20 premium is insanely scummy. The logic of "everyone does, so why can't I?" is ridiculous. The gaming industry will continue to nickel and dime suckers for less and less and you'll keep eating it up
