Sure, the Govt has flaws. But the real spectacle? People who live off Govt contracts, working their contacts overtime to get favor and still manage to bad-mouth the Govt to foreign diplomats - at a meeting facilitated for them by the Govt. The audacity and irony. 🤭

.@NagalandUniv is the top 1 govt. university in India for "the highest no. of patents granted in the last 3 years," with 97 patents, as per @IndiaToday. This reflects the hard work of the faculty, researchers, & students. I commend them for this mark of institutional excellence.

I am deeply saddened by the demise of MR. JACK THEYIEZELIE CHAKESANG. He was the Editor of Nagaland’s first broadsheet daily newspaper, The Naga Banner.

A Captain in the reputed Kumaon Regiment of the Indian Army, an author (Goodbye my Regiment), a journalist and a fantastic gentleman. He was also a founding member of the Eastern Mirror. A multi faceted personality and a person with many talents, Jack was unique and a boundary pusher. He constantly broke barriers and set high standards. In the field of journalism, he was bold and honest.

When I was the Founding Editor of Eastern Mirror, he was a crucial member of the team; he brought with him immense experience and was our steel pillar. His contributions to this institution will always be remembered.

He touched many many lives through his work. Throughout the many challenges he faced, he always remained a gentleman. And his anecdotes and tales of experience were so so captivating. I will always be grateful for what he did for and with me. Thank You Jack.

Many will miss Jack. Go well Jack. Those on the other side will now enjoy your stories. I am sure you will always collect the biggest gatherings by the fireside amongst the angels.
