imagine how much pain someone has to be in to believe death is easier than life. how deeply broken they must feel to consider suicide, how much suffering it takes to attempt it.
i don't think anybody understands what it feels like to keep showing up for your life when you're privately disappointed with how it's turning out. every morning, you have to find a reason to try again
Maybe one day you’ll realise how hard it was for me from my perspective. Maybe one day you’ll understand that there was more going on beneath the surface than what you could see. Some of my silence was pain. Some of my distance was exhaustion. Some of my mistakes came from trying to survive things I didn’t know how to talk about. I know I didn’t always handle things perfectly, but I was carrying things I didn’t always have the words for. I never wanted sympathy. I just wanted understanding. Maybe one day, you’ll see my side of the story too and realise I was never trying to make things harder. I was just trying to survive things you couldn’t see.
Most people have no idea how hard it is to fight a war inside your own head while looking completely fine on the outside, they don't realize how many times you save yourself in a single day.
Maybe it is the moment of realizing that it is all over, this whole petty of a life you lead, and the decision you’ve just taken that can’t be untaken now.
Now my favorite show does not feel the same, my favorite food does not taste the same, and my favorite place does not feel safe.. cause nothing is the same.
