Another morning to remind you all that Nusaiba sent her daughter to St. Lious secondary school to get quality education but instead they returned a dead child to her and instead of given true accounts of what lead to her being killed they’ve lawyered up.
NEGLIGENCE IS NOT AN EXCUSE!
Nahal Family is still seeking justice
for their daughter Nihal, who lost her life due to bullying at St. Louis Secondary School Kano.
According to Nihal's mother, her daughter's classmates revealed that Nihal was asked by senior students why she refused to pray, she said she’s menstruating she can’t pray according to Islamic jurisdiction, but they insisted that they must testify which, she refused because her mother said not to do so to anyone but the senior student bullied Nihal after she refused to show them her privacy to prove she was menstruating and forced Nihal to kneel in the sun, which led to her death. Nihal's mother disputes the school's claim that her daughter had asthma, saying she was a healthy child.

The death of young Nihal at St. Louis Secondary School, Kano, is deeply disturbing and raises serious questions that must not be ignored.
According to the account given by her family, the school claimed that Nihal was punished for allegedly being late to prayer and was made to kneel down. It is further alleged that she was left unattended for hours before she was eventually found dead. Even more troubling are reports that family members who rushed to the school after receiving the devastating news were denied access to where their daughter was.
We are calling on the Kano State Government, relevant education authorities, and all security agencies to immediately launch a thorough, transparent, and independent investigation into the circumstances surrounding Nihal's death.
Her family deserves answers. The public deserves the truth. Most importantly, Nihal deserves justice.
Until a full investigation is conducted and all the facts are established, we believe it is necessary for the school to be temporarily closed to ensure that evidence is preserved and that there is no interference with the investigative process.
No parent should send a child to school and receive news of their death under unclear circumstances. We stand with Nihal's family in their quest for justice and accountability.
Justice for Nihal.

Most entrepreneurs rightly start out with the obvious stuff: THE PRODUCT (what can I sell to make money?), THE CUSTOMER (what do people need that I can provide?), THE LOCATION (how do I reach them, physical, online, or both?), and other operational details. These are all important, no doubt. But often, we get blindsided by other key areas that can quietly make or break a business down the line.
1. Structure: No Systems, Formal Structure, or Documentation
What can go wrong?
If everything lives in your head, and there are no formalized way of what and how people work, chaos will show up once your team starts growing, leading to inconsistent service, poor decisions, and stress.
What to do:
Start building systems early. Even if it’s just a simple 1-pager, document your processes, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) are a lifesaver. Have clear roles, JDs and org structure.
2. Cash Flow Management (Not Just Profit)
What can go wrong?
You can be profitable on paper but still run out of cash, and that can kill your business faster than anything else. Many focus on sales but ignore actual cash movement.
What to do:
Track your cash inflow and outflow daily or weekly. Understand your working capital. Don’t blow money on things that look good but add little value.
3. Economics
What can go wrong?
Ignoring the bigger economic (macro & micro) picture can leave you exposed to risks or make you miss out on growth opportunities.
What to do:
Watch trends, economic shifts, and changes in customer behavior. A simple market scan can keep you ahead of the curve.
4. Support Roles (Software and Tools)
What can go wrong?
Overlooking basic tools like email clients, word processors, or accounting software drains your time and productivity.
What to do:
Invest wisely. Go free or manual where you can early on, but don’t ignore the tools that keep your operations running efficiently.
5. Ignoring Compliance, Taxes, and Permits
What can go wrong?
The taxman or regulators will come. Late fees, fines, interest, or even shutdowns can wreck your progress.
What to do:
Register your business, file your taxes, get insurance, and stay compliant from day one. It saves a lot of future headaches.
6. No Strategy for Scaling or Exit
What can go wrong?
Without a growth or exit strategy, you might get stuck in survival mode, hustling daily but never truly building.
What to do:
Look beyond today’s sales. Plan 1–3 years ahead. What does growth look like? What people, systems, or capital will you need to get there?
These are the things that often fly under the radar but can come back to bite you if ignored. As your business grows, remember, it's not just about the product or the customer. These behind the scenes pieces matter just as much.
Handle them early, and you’ll build a business that lasts.
