Nikita Alexandrov made the same scene twice in Unreal Engine, once as a cinematic and once as a gameplay segment, to see what player control really takes away from it. 🎬

@catb0mb My favorite part abt the skull is that they never mentioned if anything is changed to accomodate if you do turn on the skull lol. For all we know the projectiles will still be tuned for sprint and the maps will still be scaled for it without any change to your base movement speed
@ChefandArbistor I just wish the old sound came back already, it just lacks the visceral oomph to it these days when they make it sound more like some lazer sword instead of a sword made from plasma
@Hikaru_Shidou_ Its funny too how if they actually bothered to adhere to these arguements sooner instead of trying to reinvent Halo, they wouldn't have lasted this long either
I have to stop talking about Halo before I become too despondent at the state of the franchise, but I am very fascinated with the completely manufactured vitriolic hatred the new fans have for what is by all metrics the most successful and beloved instalment in the entire series
@DerAlbro@figway 1 long ass walking sequences, will be stretched further.
2 nothing you couldn't already do without having to put your gun down for an animation or without needing to slow your speed when shooting, throwing a grenade, or meeleeing.
3 you can still reposition easily.
@Gaywave69420 If I turn off sprint, will the projectile velocity and base movement speed be adjusted to even it out? 60 RD AR likely wont have piercing rounds like the original did, you didn't address much on the art direction or how it completely misses the mark with the forerunner buildings
@frogarchist It just kills me how they say this completely ignoring the playstation players who'll inevitably be playing a very different game from the original. What's worse with the sprint debate is that most people fail to realize just how much the game changes because of it's existence.
