When I told my Dad I was gay in 1995 he said something that will always stay with me. He told me about his best friend in the army that was in the closet and had children and was from a deeply religious family where the “Gay was prayed away.” My father started crying (he has only ever cried twice in my presence) and said that he found his friend hanging from the rafters in the barracks. Suicide at aged 29, three kids, an oblivious wife. He said “As long as you are safe, happy and loved that is all I want for you son. I would prefer an alive gay son to one that kills himself because he is gay.” #PrideMonth2026
I see your profile picture. That’s Johnny Cash. My hero too. Arrested seven times. Smuggled 668 amphetamines across the Mexican border in 1965. Took every drug there was and drank like I did. Cheated on his first wife. Slept with more woman than I ever did. Hit bottom in a cave in Tennessee in 1968 trying to crawl off and die. And then he got up. He got clean. He spent the rest of his life singing for prisoners and addicts and the people the country threw away because he knew he was one of them.
That was the whole point of the Man in Black. He wore it for the poor and the beaten down. He wore it for the prisoner who has long paid for his crime. He wore it for the ones who never heard a word of Jesus. He wore it for the addicted and the dying. He wore it as a standing witness that no one is past saving.
You picked his picture. You did not pick his message. Try listening to the words.
Dear entire british media...
BBC... Guardian... those others owned by tax avoiding Viscounts, Russian oligarchs, Dickesian australians ...
... a guy fired from Fox News did more journalism on British politics in one clip, than you did in 10 years.

Nigel Farage under investigation.
Richard Tice dodging taxes.
Where are the so-called media? @BethRigby@Peston@bbclaurak@ChrisMasonBBC
There would be breaking news reports every 15 mins had it been Zack Polanski or Keir Starmer.
People can't figure out how Trump got to the presidency because they've never been in a room with him.
If he walked through the door right now — even though we're always fighting — he would be disarming, gregarious, genuinely charming.
He calls Newsom “Newscum" publicly and then sees him on the tarmac and says Gavin, are we good?
He'll destroy a journalist on camera and then pick up the phone five minutes later. Are we good?
That's Trump. You have to understand that about him.
He also doesn't like people standing up to him, but he respects it deeply.
Carney is blasting him and I guarantee Trump calls Carney more than any other Western leader.
He wants to win Carney's approval and because he respects that Carney won't give it to him easily.
When he's sitting at a table and everyone is telling him his invisible clothes are beautiful, he's nauseated by it.
He comes off the plane and finds someone real and says — can you believe how these guys talk to me?
With genuine mocking derision.
He craves the pushback. He just can't admit it.
Tommy Robinson leads another Unite the Kingdom rally through London. My @BylineTimes investigation of his own posts btwn 2024-26 establishes what he is: a white supremacist anti-black racist hiding behind anti-Islam politics.
The evidence - in his own words. 🧵/1
So listen.

Wednesday 17th June Pontllanfraith Leisure Centre will be going back to court at Cardiff Civil and justice.
This would be last time I stepped foot in Caerphilly leisure centre 😢 as it’s getting knocked down.

Irrespective of any leadership bid it is now crystal clear the UK tabloids pursed Angela Rayner irresponsibility and vindictively, forced her from office, danced on her political grave. Surely any fair onlooker will contrast this with their blind backing of Nigel Farage and inability to investigate his £5m gift from a Thai-based backer who appears to have at least two names.
Channel: Sky News
Programme: Live News Coverage / @SamCoatesSky
Date/Time: 12 May 2026
Nature of Complaint:
I am writing to formally complain about the conduct and broadcast content featuring Sam Coates on Sky News. During the broadcast, Mr Coates made serious, unsubstantiated allegations, referring to official press photographs of the Prime Minister as 'govt propaganda' and 'fake news'.
Key Points of Concern:
• Accuracy and Verification: Mr Coates explicitly claimed the images came from No.10 and were 'fake news'. However, it was later clarified by Mark Austin on air that these were in fact PA (Press Association) photographs. This demonstrates a significant failure to verify facts before making inflammatory claims on a public service broadcast.
• Professional Standards and Bias: The use of terms like 'fake news' and 'propaganda' to describe standard photojournalism, without factual basis, shows a clear lack of due impartiality and objectivity.
• Public Trust: Such 'Trumpian' tactics and the refusal to offer a proper apology for these false claims, instead framing it as a 'correction of the truth', undermine the public's trust in broadcast journalism.
Conclusion:
This behaviour violates the Ofcom Broadcasting Code regarding accuracy and impartiality. I request that Ofcom investigates this instance of misinformation and the biased conduct displayed by Sam Coates, which falls far below the standards expected of a licensed UK broadcaster.
@krishgm Wow, as someone who I thought was one of the best journalists, this is pathetic. So disappointed with you. You could have been so much better!
