Some day today on only our second year breeding mule gimmer lambs. We averaged £121 for 115 sold. £30 up on last year. I know trades strong but it’s a credit to everyone at Thrimby with that sort of improvement. Beer, steak and bed tonight. Good day in the office

Good morning from the howgills. Checking on the lambs. More store lambs heading to ⁦@NWAuctions⁩ this week before our grass stops growing this year. We have a short growing season so it makes sense to sell lambs ‘store’ so they can eat grass elsewhere and not ‘cake’.

Today at Lancaster: A strong trade and demand for beef cows on the market today, saw a @LimousinUK cow sell to 194.5p/kg from AT Rogerson, Chipping that grossed at an impressive £1556.
