Substantive Police Sergeant. Learning as I go & loving it. Retweets not endorsements. Don't report crime here. Call 101 (non emergency) / 999 (emergency)
@RajSKohliexcop@AchingRat DEI wasn't brought up in this conversation. This is push back for an over reaching government under the guise of making it better for victims of crime. They couldn't care less about victims, and this initiative is yet another nail in the coffin of policing as well know it.
@RajSKohliexcop@AchingRat Given you have some the job you know this is already in place in the form of college learn. This is another idea for the politicisation if the police. The police will no longer be impartial.
@RajSKohliexcop @InspGadgetBlogs No but they should be reverted to staff roles or medically retired. Too many hide in back offices because they can't be bothered anymore.
@PFEW_Whistle@PFEW_HQ@PFEW_HQ this is awful. Such a change should have gone to all members who pay subs. Especially considering you increased subs citing the need for increased revenue. @10DowningStreet this needs looking into!
@InspGadgetBlogs @annockh PS can do this too. I often do. When the bosses challenge it I refer them to the rationale I put on the record. If they disagree they have to put on the record their reasons. It's easy if youre doing it for the right reasons and document it.
@standardnews Double standards. You can't keep your job for using racist slurs. Had she been another ethnicity it is highly unlikely the outcome would have been the same.
@AchingRat Why has the force apologised. She worried about what he may do to people local to him, in another country that the UK police has no jurisdiction for such a crime. Explain this to the victim but stop bending over to media pressure!
@rickymidlands @InspGadgetBlogs We do prioritise. But we still have to deal with it. Prioritising doesn't make the issue go away unfortunately, so at the end of the day the police still have to investigate.
@rickymidlands @InspGadgetBlogs Nope the government sets the standard for what is and isnt classed as a crime. The public reports, the police have to investigate.
@alcovesmb@insanereality I agree with this about fitness tests. The problem is, they don't allow for the adrenaline build up. Which affects the fittest of people unless this is done on a day to day basis (SWAT/SPEC OPS ETC).
Justice prevails
Whilst I know there are some police officers who are absolute Tw@ts, I donโt agree with them being sacked or punished for doing their jobโฆ Stop and Search is essential, so Good luck to them
and @policeconduct are a disgrace
