Scattered storms persist this evening and again tomorrow south of US 24. Severe weather is not expected. A prolonged warm and dry stretch begins Sunday lasting through much of next week. Highs will be in the upper 80s to mid 90s, with peak heat indices between 95 to 100 degrees.
