If you're up in Kay County and feel like it's been raining non-stop for weeks, then you're absolutely right.
In June 2026, Ponca City recorded 16.66 inches of rain. This shatters the previous record for any single month at the site (14.01 inches in June 1957)!
Another evening where prior thunderstorm activity from across the OK/TX Panhandles may move into portions of far western OK and western-north TX prior to dissipating.
Gusty winds and perhaps small hail will be possible with storms.

"Rinse and repeat" with the forecast tomorrow: muggy, sunny, and breezy with a low chance of storms across the farthest west portions of the area. After that, we'll start inching the heat up a little more toward the weekend, with first 100-degree days of the year possible.
8:15 pm - Light to moderate rain and cloud-to-ground lightning continues in a few spots in far northwest Oklahoma, but thunderstorm intensity will continue to decrease. We could see some gusty winds out there between 9 and 11 pm as storms in the eastern TX panhandle decay.
6:45 pm - We're going to allow the Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Roger Mills County expire. The storm has weakened considerably.
The chance for occasional rain and storms will continue this evening across far western Oklahoma.
OKC and Lawton made it through the month of June without seeing their first 100-degree day of the year. Lawton's average first 100-degree day is June 19, while OKC's is July 10.
It's a sunny day for most of us, but you can see a plume of clouds from New Mexico through the panhandles, western Oklahoma, and into Kansas.
Scattered thunderstorms will develop in that plume this afternoon. A couple will try to approach the western part of the area.
At 1 PM - A couple of sites in northern OK were showing triple digit heat indices. The triple digit heat index values will be possible at some more sites this afternoon but not expected to be as widespread as the last few days. #okwx#txwx
@TheSaltyPep Rain chances in central Oklahoma are near 0% today. If you are going to mow this afternoon, it's going to be toasty out there! Here's more information on weather through the end of the week: https://t.co/slbfp55VfN
[6/30] 6:55 AM - Showers have developed in NW OK over the last hour. Showers and maybe a few rumbles of thunder will be possible over the next few hours. Heavy downpours and lightning are the main concerns. #okwx
A Marginal risk for severe storms has been introduced for portions of western OK this evening. A few storms strong to severe storms could move into the area with damaging winds the main concern. #okwx
There is a chance of strong to severe storms this evening across northwest and into western Oklahoma. Wind gusts up to 60 mph and small hail are possible.
