Claude Mythos can find vulnerabilities in software, chain exploits, and potentially take over or disrupt things like financial systems, power grids and hospitals.

Anthropic itself warned it could enable widespread disruption, devastating hacks, or "weapons we can't even envision" if it got into the wrong hands.

I agree with Jim VandeHei’s perspective in the interview. He cautions against outsourcing all of our thinking to AI, warning that while it may seem harmless in the short term, over time it can erode our “mental muscle” - weakening judgment, memory, and critical thinking skills.

Instead, he recommends using AI as a collaborator that sharpens and reinforces our own thinking rather than replacing it.
